Questions and Answers

1. Why is my parenting problem not mentioned on the Supernanny website?

The Supernanny website is growing fast and articles are contributed from a wide variety of sources. Each time we update the site, new articles will appear in the Advice section and more topics will be covered. If the parenting problem you are particularly interested in is not yet represented, rest assured that it will be in due course. In the meantime, why not ask about your particular issue in the forums? You will need to register but doing so is easy and, best of all, it’s free. Register here.

2. How are articles organised on the website?

Articles are categorised by subject matter in the Advice section which can be accessed via the tab at the top of the page. In many cases, the topic covered will come under more than one category heading, in which case it will be listed under each heading that applies. Many are also cross-referenced by means of links added at the bottom of the article.

3. How do I know whether the issue I’m interested in has been discussed in the forum?

The forum has a search function. Type in key words, such as ‘dyslexia’ or ‘milk teeth’, and it will show you a list of all the discussions in which the key words have appeared.

4. Where can I find out more about an issue mentioned on the Supernanny website?

Wherever possible, each article is contributed by an organisation which specialises in the subject matter covered. Links will be included to the organisation’s own website, where further information and resources can be found.

5. If I can’t find what I’m looking for, can I email a request?

Your first stop should be the forums, where you can discuss your issue with other parents. However, you can contact us via email to request that we cover your topic and we will certainly consider your suggestion. Please note that we cannot, under any circumstances, answer specific questions about parenting problems via email.

6. How can I find out when a particular specialist or expert is in the chat room?

Occasionally, a guest expert will be announced on the Supernanny homepage, together with the time and date when they’ll be online to chat. We’ll also use our monthly newsletter to alert you to any special guests. To use the forums and chat rooms and to receive the newsletter, you’ll need to register. It’s easy and it’s free! 7. Who writes the advice and can I contact them?

The articles in the advice section come from a wide variety of sources, all experts in their particular field. In some cases, there will be a link to the website of the organisation which contributed the article and their site might contain contact details. Individual authors may occasionally be credited on an article if they request it but will otherwise remain anonymous. We will under no circumstances publish or pass on contact details to any individual or organisation unless they specifically ask us to do so.
