If you've got one or two kids and are looking for a sturdy, fun way to them engaged in the household, look no further! Finally, a cool tool that teaches kids to do their chores. With "I Did My Chores!" your child willingly does the chores, the upkeep of the system and the foot work - fun for the whole family! Kids earn rewards in a new and entertaining form, while you can either follow the helpful suggestions or customize the system to suit your personal needs. Parent's will appreciate it. Kids will love it!

  2. Melissa and Doug Magnetic Responsibility Chart ($19.99)
magnetic chore chart Melissa and DougIt's big, but don't get put off! If your kids are the kind who really want to engage in a project, especially if they're older kids, then this is the chart for you. Catch children in the act of behaving well, reward them, and watch those appropriate behaviors multiply! Open the fabric hinged boards to reveal a behavior chart on one board, while the other board keeps all the magnets close at hand. A sturdy cord is attached for hanging, and this needs to sit on a wall where it can be easily reached (but not by toddler brothers and sisters!). Dry-erase board and 134 magnets including responsibilities, positive behaviors and rewards. Here’s a way to please (and thank you) everyone!
  3. I can do it! Kenson Parenting ($19.95)
I can do itBrilliant for younger kids, I can do it! Is a first chore-board, which holds 5 chores at a time and wipes clean once your child has achieved the goal or once there's another chore which needs to be added. Every time she manages to complete a task, she gets a star, and her goal and her reward are written underneath (just so there are no misunderstandings!). There are supplementary packs which focus on different kinds of behavior and which mean this board can grow with your child. Kenson also do other, specific reward charts such as a potty training star chart. The board attaches neatly to a wall or door.
  4. Board Dudes Chore Chart ($14.99)
board dude chore chartWrite on your own tasks and make your own stars: this chart is very straight forward and will work best with children who need to keep things very simple to really get a grip on it. The chart works with a list (it can be up to 10 tasks or chores, so it's suitable for older kids) and your child can mark off her accomplishments for these on each day of the week.

5.     Online Chore Charts (price varies: sometimes it's free!)
If you just want to see if the shoe fits with your kids, you might like to dip your toe in the water with chore charts first before you invest in a system. A great way to do this is to print off a couple of chore charts from one of the many online sites which now offer them. One of our readers has recommended Handipoints, but if you have any more good tips, let us know.
